Reviews for Aji No Karyu
Review highlights
Based on 349 reviewsAji No Karyu is widely recognized for its flavorful and well-balanced ramen offerings, particularly excelling in miso-based broths with a pleasing blend of saltiness and spice. Customers consistently praise the springy texture of the noodles, fresh and crunchy toppings, and tender char siu. The restaurant's portions are generally considered generous, and the service is noted for being friendly and welcoming, contributing to a pleasant dining atmosphere. Some feedback highlights a slight over-saltiness in certain broths and occasional chewiness in pork pieces. Practical considerations include a cash-only policy and limited storage for personal belongings. Overall, Aji No Karyu is recommended for those seeking authentic, satisfying ramen experiences in Sapporo.
Tried the spicy miso ramen and the iwanori noodles! A true indication of a good ramen is how they balance the saltiness and spicy notes in their base soup. And it was slightly abit salty but the spiciness was just right. Noodles were springy, beansprouts were crunchy. Char Siu was cooked just nice, enough bite but soft to chew. The 3.6 reviews don't justify their quality, bump it up!
We tried butter corn miso ramen and wontan soy sauce ramen, 5/5 taste but the shop doesn’t have boxes for personal belongings. Overall 4.5/5. Also they only accept cash so prepare it in advance
Very flavourful ramen. Ordered an original, shoyu and scallop ramen. All of them were great. I love the taste and ramen cooked to al dente. Perfectly balanced of flavour. Good portion. Friendly service.
very first meal we had in our japan trip and it was pretty good. all the ramens we got were a little different from each other which is good but the broth was on the salty side. some pieces of the pork was a little on the chewy side but the portion size was good. would recommend getting any ramen here but maybe avoid the wonton ramen, five spice was too strong and threw the balance off.
Amazing food and excellent service! The ramen was delicious and the staff and owner super friendly, great atmosphere and highly recommended!
We decided to eat here after it being one of the only restaurants in Ramen Alley without a line.. so glad we did as the Miso ramen was delicious!
